A Brief History of Lotería

The game of Lotería originated in Italy in the 15th century and was brought to New Spain (modern Mexico) in 1769. Initially a hobby of the upper classes, it eventually became a traditional game played at Mexican fairs.

The most famous version of the deck—the "Don Clemente" version—was created by French businessman Don Clemente Jacques in 1887. The images he selected have become iconic symbols of Mexican culture, instantly recognizable to millions.

We realized that finding good, printable tablas can be a hassle, so we created this completely free generator to help our community. No sign-ups, no fees, no hidden costs. Just authentic, customizable tablas ready for your next gathering.

You might see a "Pozo" link in our menu. In Lotería, the "Pozo" (pot) is the prize everyone plays for. We've opened that page for those who wish to donate or support the maintenance of this site.
